Something Blue!

Traditional, beautiful, elegant, fun, surprising and lovely is a hard combination to pull off but Rachel and Kent did it perfectly for their wedding and reception. Bonni, the MOB, along with her daughter had a vision of the perfect wedding, and they pulled it flawlessly. I think my very favorite thing were Rachel’s blue shoes, you could just see a peep of them under her stunning gown. The gown and shoes were a perfect representation of the evening, elegant, but not stuffy, tradition with a bit of whimsy! A formal seated dinner followed by dancing on the Terrace with glow sticks, hats and sunglasses.

The Skyline Terrace is back!!

The Peachtree Club is getting back into the swing of things with it’s fourth wedding reception of 2011!

Main Dining Room

On March 26, 2011, Christina and Leszek celebrated their wedding reception at The Peachtree Club.  They had an intimate seated dinner with a fun twist. With Leszek’s Polish influences and Christina’s southern influences, they made  ”picture” table numbers.

Table Numbers

Half of the room had “picture” table numbers that dealt with Poland, and the other half that related to Georgia. It was a great way to tie in their roots in one special evening!

Skyline Terrace

And of course the rain didn’t stop the fun – the Terrace was lit up with not only the skyline views, but also beautiful trees. Guests were able to enjoy the Terrace and the views all night long!!

A Non-Traditional Ceremony with Pizazz on the Terrace!

The Peachtree Club had the pleasure of hosting Laura and Blair’s rocking wedding this past Saturday, September 25, 2010! The bride and groom decided to have cocktail hour first so they could take their pictures while guests gathered in. After cocktail hour all the guests made their way out to the Terrace for the casual seated ceremony.

Laura and Blair’s ceremony took place with a skyline backdrop.

Right after their exchanging of vows, the bride and groom shared their first dance as a married couple!  After the first dance was over, people were asked to start making their way through the action stations for dinner.

The Peachtree Club loved Laura and Blair’s party favors! The bride and groom decided on a photo booth to capture all the fun memories they had on their special night. In addition, Laura and Blair provided photo albums for all their guests to put in their pictures they took in the photo booth.  This gave everyone a chance to get creative with the fun props to add to their pictures and memories!

Fun continued all night with dancing on the Terrace!

First Things First: Cocktails!

Saturday, August 28, 2010: Lynn and Paul exchanged vows at skyline level and The Peachtree Club managed to escape the rain once again (knock on wood)!!   The bride and groom incorporated some nontraditional ideas that we loved…

Upon arrival, pictures were taken of every guest and will be added to Lynn and Paul’s guest book. While guests were enjoying cocktails and hors d’oeuvres from 6:00 p.m.-6:45 p.m., Lynn, Paul and the entire wedding party were taking their wedding pictures. This is a great time to get pictures out of the way and it allows everyone to enjoy the rest of the night.  Between 6:45 p.m.-7:00 p.m. the ushers started seating the bride and groom’s guests. The ceremony began at 7:00pm…right on time! It was a beautiful ceremony with the skyline as their backdrop.

After the ceremony was complete, guests were directed to the bar area  for more cocktails while The Peachtree Club flipped the Terrace into a dance floor, added additional settings and setup a second bar.

After the “Terrace flip” was complete, guests started going through the buffet lines. The Peachtree Club was able to open their double doors in the bar area, allowing guests to start an easy flow from the bar into the buffet room and into the main dining room and terrace.  At the far end of the main dining room Lynn and Paul decided to set up a room just for kids! The kids even had their own buffet!  After everyone finished eating, the cake was cut and the first dance took place. Then the bride, groom, family and friends all got to enjoy a beautiful evening on the Terrace.

A Wedding with a Skyline Rainbow!

The Peachtree Club had the opportunity to host Emily and Alex’s wedding on August 21, 2010.  This couple kept it elegant, yet fun, with some great activities for their friends and families to enjoy. Emily and Alex decided to have a photo booth filled with props for their guests to use in their pictures. They put on mustaches, masks and used a dry erase board to write notes to the bride and groom.  At each bar the bride and groom had personalized koozies to pass out to all their guests. Emily and Alex really focused on having a fun wedding for themselves, their friends and their families.   The elegant attributes of The Peachtree Club simply shined through on this night.

It lightly rained during their ceremony, but it was nothing the Terrace couldn’t handle. A rainbow appeared while the ceremony was in full swing… it was beautiful.

A Miami Night Club in the Heart of Midtown Atlanta

On June 19, we had the pleasure of hosting a beautiful and unique wedding and reception. Whitney and Jayson knew exactly what they wanted, and made their day uniquely them. They started the evening in our bar area for a cocktail hour, then moved into the dining room for a lovely 4 course dinner. Right as the sun was setting, their guests moved to the Skyline Terrace for a stunning ceremony. Afterwards, guests moved back in to bar area for cake and champagne. As guests toasted the happy couple our crew, along with EventScapes, the wonderful design firm they hired, turned the Terrace into a hot Miami nightclub. Guests hung out in the swank nightclub and dance the night away.

A Rehearsal Party, not a a Rehearsal Dinner

This past weekend, we had the great pleasure of hosting the Davis Rehearsal Party. What a fun evening. First, the Atlanta weather was it’s perfect springtime best, next the families were delightful to work with, and knew how to have a great time. They kept it a casual, interactive party, with live music, the coolest groom’s cake every, fun action stations, and of course an open bar. Check out these pictures:

Stunning Rehearsal Dinner

We had the privilege of hosting the Lyerly Dinner Friday, April 9. What a wonderful couple and the sweetest Mother-of-the-Groom to work with. Foxglove and (www.foxglovesflowerblog.blogspot.com) did an amazing job with the floral and linen, the weather was stunning and the night was flawless!

Thinking outside the Box for Ceremonies

As I meet with brides regarding their ceremony, it is exciting to see how many are thinking outside the box! I have one wedding booked where the bride and groom are having their wedding  dinner first, then moving out to the rooftop terrace for the ceremony under the stars! I have another who is considering a ceremony in the round and a third who wants to make her grand entrance from our skyline terrace, and have the actual ceremony inside. We will light the terrace with candlelight and combined with the lights from the midtown skyline as the backdrop, it will be spectacular!

Rooftop Bridal Shoot

In anticipation of The Skyline Terrace, last spring we did a bridal shoot on the roof of our 28th story building. It was the perfect location to photograph our bride and all the amazing views available from our unique vantage point! As soon is the terrace is compete (Mid-March) we will be available for photo shoots. Give us a call, or have your photographer set up a date.

Rooftop Update

We have a door! Where there once was a window, now we have a door. Follow along for the next two months as the Terrace takes place. Grand opening day should be middle of March!

Construction Begins

Construction on the Terrace begins tomorrow! We just completed a meeting with our contractors.  Tomorrow they will remove a window and set up a temporary door to the 28thFloor space that will soon become our new rooftop terrace! The project will take two months, and will be ready for use in the middle of March.

We will also be coordinating with our interior designers for the face lift taking shape inside. New flooring, cool faux painting and luxurious new window treatments are all part of the interior make over. We can’t wait to show you our exciting new space!
