So your big day is coming up and your loved ones are coming to town to celebrate with you. We know they’ll have a fabulous time at your wedding celebration but what about before and after the big day? Lucky for you, we’ve compiled a list of all the cool spots around Midtown that they can visit and explore!

1.) Atlanta Botanical Gardens

About a mile and a half from The Peachtree Club is the gorgeous Atlanta Botanical Gardens. The Atlanta Botanical Gardens is a 30 acre botanical garden located adjacent from Piedmont Park. You can wander around the garden observing all the unique and exotic plant life or you can hop on a guided tour and get the full scoop on all the different species of flora around the garden. It's a great place to get your nature and fresh air fix in a bustling city.

2.)   High Museum of Art:

If you’re like me, nothing suits your fancy more than wandering through an art museum. You and your family can visit the High Museum of Art, located on Peachtree Street about a mile from The Peachtree Club! The High is the leading art museum in the Southeast; their permanent collection contains more than 15,000 works and several rotating exhibitions.

3.)   Margaret Mitchell House:

Ever read Gone with the Wind? The writer of the famous, southern classic, Margaret Mitchell, lived right here in Atlanta. The Margaret Mitchell House sits off of Peachtree Street on Crescent Avenue, across the street from The Peachtree Club and the Midtown MARTA station. This is a great spot for your guest of all ages to visit and get a little southern history lesson. Take a tour through Apartment No. 1 and see where the famous writer lived and drew inspiration.

4.)   Center for Puppetry Arts:

One of the more unique spots to visit in Midtown is the Center for Puppetry Arts. Don’t be fooled, this place is more than a fun spot for kids, adults love it too! You can see all your childhood favorites and some new characters you’ve never seen before. You can tour through the museum or make your own puppet in the workshop! The Center for Puppetry Arts is conveniently located in Midtown at the corner of Spring and 18th Street. It’s a short walk from Arts Center MARTA station, but they do offer limited, free parking.

5.)   Empire State South

Looking for some good ol’ southern food with a sophisticated twist? Located right here on the ground floor of the 999 building on Peachtree Street is Empire State South. They take everything we love about authentic southern food and modernize it. It’s a great place to come relax and get to know the building where your wedding will be held. Their wide variety of southern dishes will be a real crowd pleaser among your friends and family!

6.)   Orpheus Brewing

Beer lovers rejoice! Orpheus Brewing is serving up the best sours and saisons in Atlanta! Haven’t you always wanted to sip on a nice cold beer while they show you how it’s made? If so, this is definitely the place for you and your guests to go! Just pay for a tour and get a souvenir glass and belly full of beer. Orpheus Brewing is conveniently located about 2 miles from The Peachtree Club!

7.)   Fox Theatre

So maybe a brewery just isn’t your thing and you want something a little more on the entertainment side. Luckily Midtown Atlanta is home to the historic Fox Theatre. The Fox Theatre was built in the 1920s and has been the host of thousands of plays, movies, rallies, concerts, and much more! It’s located on Peachtree Street about half a mile from The Peachtree Club.

8.)   National Center for Civic and Human Rights

Atlanta is known as the cradle of the Civil Rights movement and the birthplace of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. The National Center for Civic and Human Rights is a museum dedicated to these achievements. It’s a great opportunity for you and your guests to learn about the role the City of Atlanta played in this movement. It’s only two MARTA stops down from The Peachtree Club.

9.) The Vortex

The Vortex is one of the most popular spots to visit in Atlanta to grab a beer and a burger. Pop in to eat some of their strange but delicious burgers and take a peek at the eclectic art work around the restaurant. The iconic “Laughing Skull” outside the restaurant has become an Atlanta monument you can’t miss. There are two locations, one in Midtown and the other in Little 5 Points.

10.) The Flying Biscuit

Ask anyone around town where a good brunch spot is and more than likely The Flying Biscuit will be on the list. The Flying Biscuit is serving up all your southern brunch favorites along with lunch and dinner! Their superb biscuits and grits won’t disappoint and the best part is that it’s only 2 blocks from The Peachtree Club!

Fun. Elegant. Memorable.

Cassi and Ryan are a match made in heaven, and I don't just mean this because of how well they compliment each other's dance moves. They are so sweet and kind when they interact, always smile when the other is around and clearly love each other to the moon and back!

Cassi and Ryan's August wedding on our rooftop terrace was elegant and beautiful and their reception that followed was fun and memorable. The Peachtree Club was thrilled to be a part of it!
